We have updated our Quality Assurance (QA) Manual in order to continue fulfilling our core promise to our customers about high product safety and quality standards. 

Please see below for the most important changes (non-exhaustive): 

• Future requirements regarding the General Product Safety Regulation (EU) 2023/988

• Restrictions on microplastics according to Annex XVII of the EU’s Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) Regulation

• Updated requirements for cosmetic products

• Requirements for onboarding beauty electronics that fall under the scope of medical devices 

These updated requirements enhance platform safety and position your products for increased customer satisfaction and trust which minimises product recalls, customer complaints, and deactivations. Also, a more compliant product range translates to higher NMV and a reduction in recall and safety notification costs for you.

Please review the updated QA Manual version 8 and annexes I-III on Zalando Partner University (ZPU) to ensure your articles remain compliant with all regulatory product and safety guidelines.

The season switch starts tomorrow! So, please follow our guidelines to avoid the off-boarding of your old season articles (Spring/Summer 2023 (SS23) as well as Autumn/Winter 2023 (AW23).
