A star-studded cast: Boggi Milano x Shipping
Boggi Milano is an Italian fashion brand which sets out to create timeless fashion for men, in part by focusing on innovation in technology, sustainability and quality. And, when it comes to their logistics operations, these values are equally important to them.
The brand was already leveraging Zalando Fulfilment Solutions, our end-to-end fulfilment solution, for their bestsellers. But, for an assortment for which customer demand is uncertain or unpredictable, Boggi Milano was looking for a more agile solution.
This is where our Shipping solution comes in, offering minimal commitment with maximum flexibility.
With our Shipping solution, Boggi Milano is able to ship to customers across 12 different markets, by injecting customer-ready parcels into a single location. Items are stored in Boggi Milano’s own warehouse and shipped out upon customer order. This means they are able to offer a broader assortment, without having to make large stock commitments. Allowing them, in addition, to save on warehousing fees.

The role of returns
But what about returns? Well, after choosing to leverage our Shipping solution, Boggi Milano opted to pair the service with Returns Plus, to help manage their returns from end to end.
Instead of customer returns being shipped back to the Boggi Milano warehouse, customer returns are redirected to one of Zalando’s 20+ return centres across Europe. Plus, the next customer order is then fulfilled by Zalando. This not only frees up time but also space in Boggi Milano’s warehouses. And it improves the time-to-online for returns.
Particularly during peak demand periods, such as Cyber Month and Christmas, did Boggi Milano notice the impact of outsourcing their returns management. After all, this is when efficient logistics are especially paramount to meeting customer expectations and capitalising on sales opportunities.
