Below you’ll find the Image terms, the type of assortment that this image is used for and a detailed description of what it means.

Our general requirements

Image requirements for Bags and Luggage

This guide only covers the image requirements for Bags and Luggage articles. You can find more information about what kind of article fits into the Bags and Luggage assortment category here.

For full image requirements, please refer to the general Zalando image guidelines.

Number of images required

The table below shows the number of which types of images are needed for onboarding articles in the Bags and Luggage assortment. Simply duplicating images to meet the requirements is not allowed and would lead to an article rejection.

Photographing Bags and Luggage

The use of packshot images allows a detailed look at the function and style of the item. Using more than the required images for each article allows the customer to appreciate every angle and enhances the storytelling.

  • For the primary packshot, centre the article vertically and position it in the lower third of the image grid. Please find supporting guidance in this section of the Zalando image guidelines.

  • Ensure front view positioning with short bag straps pointing upwards and long straps laid flat or rolled on the left side, not visible on the right.

  • Avoid allowing straps to cross the whole bag and ensure small details or logos are unobstructed.

  • Prepare bags neatly, possibly stuffing or filling them to showcase their shape and capacity.

  • Always show the full length / size of the article in the model view

  • The texture of the fabric/material should be visible on the detail view

  • The back view should have the bag positioned at a 45° angle so that both sides, back and side view, are visible.
