Finding your size chart codes

Learn how to use and share Zalando’s size chart codes.

Updated October 18, 2024

Accurate size information is a key criteria for ensuring customer satisfaction. To help drive sales and reduce the risk of size-related returns, Zalando provides a comprehensive size chart table on the product display pages. Size chart tables include the original brand size and regional size conversions to help customers make well informed buying decisions. For more information on this topic, you can refer to our Sizing article.

The process of sizing your articles will depend on your integration method. If you integrate via the zDirect User Interface (UI), you will need to provide this information to Partner Care via our support form

Important

This process applies only when you have Incremental Assortment (IA) or Partial Incremental assortment.

For more information on what Incremental Assortment entails, please refer to the article “How to create articles on Zalando”

Since Zalando already has a large database of different size charts across all categories, you should first check to see if we have a code for the size chart that applies to your articles. To do this, please download the Size Finder file that is attached on the left side of this article.

Below, you will find instructions for how to use the Size Finder file to find and share your size chart codes with us.

Important

Once you find the size chart codes that correspond to your sizing convention, please send us only the list of these size chart codes. You can copy the codes from the Size Finder file and paste them onto a new excel document to share these with us. Refer to the steps below for more information.

How to use the size chart finder tool

  1. Download the Size Finder file

  2. Navigate over to the picklist tables displayed under columns N-S. Here you will make the necessary selections to search for size chart codes for a given gender, category and supplier size.

3. Start with the Gender box and select the respective filter. In this example, we will select ‘Female’.

4. Next, select the relevant article category. In this example, we will select ‘Shoes’.

Notes on the category selection:

  • You can search for outdoor articles in the ‘Sports’ or ‘Textiles’ categories.

  • You can also search for lingerie and beachwear articles in the ‘Sports’ or ‘Textile’ categories.

5. The ‘Supplier size’ represents the original brand size, so please select a sample size. We will select ‘39’ for this example.

6. The following filter boxes will automatically update to include regional conversions for the gender, category and supplier size selections you made. In the case of our example, this is ‘Female’ ‘Shoes’, sized 39.

7. EU, UK, US, FR, IT: on each of these boxes, please click on the regional size conversion that best reflects the supplier size. These are interdependent, so the values displayed will update the selections you’ve made in the previous box.

Important

Make sure to click on a size under each regional size conversion box (even if there is only one option and it is already orange).

8. Click on the Data tab at the top of the Excel window and hit “Refresh All”.

9. This will generate a list of size chart codes that will be displayed underneath the size filter boxes.

10. From this list, find the row that corresponds to your supplier size and its size conversions. You will also see a size range (smallest to largest size) that should correspond to the size range you have available for that article category.

11. Once you find the row, refer to the Size Chart code (under column N). Copy this code and open a new Excel document.

12. On the new excel sheet, right-click on a cell and under the Paste options, select Numbers. Now you will have pasted the correct size chart code for a said gender and category. In our example, this was ‘Female’ ‘Shoes’.

To start searching for size chart codes for a different gender and article category combination, clear the filter on each of the filter boxes and click on Refresh All underneath the Data tab. Alternatively, you can go to the Data tab and click on Clear if you have that option available.

Once the filters are all cleared, you can go through the steps above again to make the necessary selections and find the other necessary size chart code(s).
