What's Lounge by Zalando?

Lounge by Zalando is a leading European off-price retailer. Established over 10 years ago, it's a standalone destination within the Zalando Group with its own app and website. In 2023, we relaunched Lounge with a vibrant and inclusive brand identity to better engage our 50 million active customers.

How Lounge by Zalando works

Lounge is a shopping club where customers find big-name brands at affordable prices. It’s an ideal place to showcase your articles, offer discounts and help customers discover your brand.

Customers sign up with an email address to shop curated, limited-time promotional deals. These selections update daily. Unlike the main Zalando shop, Lounge doesn't operate through a permanent catalogue. Instead, we use a campaign model to create excitement and a sense of discovery for the customer.

Every day at 7.00am CET, Lounge launches a selection of new campaigns. These run for up to 72 hours and offer discounts of up to 75%.

Business requirements and logistics

To start selling on Lounge, you must sign a separate business contract. Because Lounge operates as an independent business unit with its own logistics network and business models, it requires specific legal terms. While the core terms of service will be familiar to you, this separate agreement ensures all Lounge-specific requirements are met.

Fulfilment and stock management

Lounge is a vital part of the Zalando platform strategy, specifically focusing on the wholesale business model. To ensure a consistent customer experience and convenience for you, Zalando manages the stock risk and fulfilment. This means you cannot integrate your own Partner Program stock into Lounge or handle customer fulfilment yourself.

Delivery and article readiness

Our Lounge warehouses are located in Poland (Olsztynek, Brzoza/Przyłęki and Poznan/Żerniki). We'll select your specific delivery destination during the network planning phase.

A dedicated partner application guides you through the entire process, from order confirmation to delivery planning and payment. In general, your articles must meet our standard readiness requirements, such as being packed in polybags and labelled with EANs. If you have any ad-hoc questions, our supplier service is with you every step of the way.
