Getting started with DHL account in order to start operations with Zalando Connected Retail program in Poland.

Getting started: DHL account

To start the operations with Zalando Connected Retail, you will need an own contract with DHL.

With your own contract with DHL PL, please approach your responsible sales manager from DHL PL. Once you received and signed the contract, we will need  your DHL SAP number as well as the API logins and passwords.

Apply for a DHL account 

Once the contract has been signed and the documents have been sent, it takes approximately five working days until your account has been created. Please call your sales representative directly or send them an email, if you do not get any feedback by then.

Who should I contact if the DHL SAP numbers (DHL identification numbers) are not working?

The SAP/identification number is used for the invoicing process of DHL. The number is seven digits long and equivalent to the DHL customer number.

Please contact your DHL sales representative, if you have any inquiries about the SAP numbers.

I got the information and credentials (API users and passwords) from DHL PL, where do I need to introduce them? 

Please provide those credentials in the spreadsheet provided by your sales representative from Connected Retail. 

I have filled in everything - and now?

Once you have filled in all the information, please send the template back to your sales representative from Zalando. 

Request in-store collections

Who do I register collections with?

Connected Retail has an automated collection request working for your DHL PL shipments, meaning the parcels will be collected between 24 and 48 hours (working days) after the orders have been completed on your side in the Connected Retail Tool.

What if I have a lot more parcels than usual and my regular collection cannot take them all?

We will send a pre notice to DHL PL once you have submitted your orders in the Connected Retail Tool about the amount of parcels to be picked up. If the pickups are not happening properly, please contact the Partner Care team of Connected Retail trough our contact form.

Can I take my parcels to the post office myself?

Generally this is possible, but there is a hold time in which DHL gets informed about your parcels and the parcels get pre admitted. Without this step, the DHL office will not be able to scan the labels and accept the parcels.

Only parcels that have been created on the day before 2 pm can be accepted in the post office.

Can you also deliver abroad?

Not yet, but we are working on a solution.

I cannot print labels anymore. What can I do?

Changing the DHL SAP number

If you need to change your SAP number due a change on your contract with DHL, please inform our Partner Care team immediately through the contact form.
