Getting started with Poste Italiane

To start the operations with Zalando Connected Retail, you will need to join the Zalando umbrella contract with Poste Italiane.

You need to send us the details of ALL the stores that you would like to have included in our umbrella contract, including the complete addresses and legal information of the Store, so we can request it from Poste Italiane.

It will take approximately two working days for Poste Italiane to give us feedback, if we can take your stores under our Umbrella. Once this is confirmed you will need to sign an Operational Agreement with us.

How long do I have to wait to find out if my shop has been admitted to Zalando's contract with Poste Italiane?

Once you have sent the complete form, the waiting time varies from 1 to 5 working days.

How long does it take to get my contract with Poste Italiane?

Once the contract with Poste Italiane has been requested, and all the information required by your manager has been completed, it can take between 7 and 21 days depending on the case.

How can I order packaging material (Poste Italiane only)?

Please email our Partner Care team through the contact form on ZPU with the subject line “Post IT Shipment Material”. Please include the following information in the email: Legal Company Name, Store Name, Store Address (to ship the material), number of flyers (small size only) and number of pocket adhesive for invoices (taschette adesive). Both materials (flyers and adhesive pockets) can be ordered for free.

Request in-store collections

Who should I register my collections with?

Connected Retail has an automated collection request that works for your Italian Post Office shipments, which means that parcels will be collected between 24 and 48 hours (working days) after the orders have been completed on your side in the Connected Retail tool.

What happens if I have more parcels than usual and my regular pick-up cannot take them all?

Once you have sent your orders in the Connected Retail Tool, we will send Poste Italiane a pre-notification about the quantity of parcels to be collected. If the collections do not go smoothly, please contact the Connected Retail operations team through the contact form on ZPU.

Can you also deliver abroad?

Not yet, but Connected Retail is already working on a solution.
