Logistics and PostNord

Logistics information for partners in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.

New customers or expanding business

In cooperation with our Sales team you will start by signing the Zalando Connected Retail agreement, as well as entering general retailer information to our Onboarding portal. Please also fill out the factsheet which will be provided by the Sales team as well.

Partners who want to add new branches or are already selling on Zalando through Connected Retail need to contact their Partner consultant.

The next step is to clarify the logistics contract with the carrier PostNord.

You need to choose between the two options:

  1. You have an existing contract with PostNord:

    Your current customer number must be added in the factsheet to continue the onboarding process.

  2.  Sign a new contract with PostNord:

    If you decide to go with PostNord you must conclude this contract directly with PostNord. Shipping and returns must be organised between you and PostNord directly.

How long do I have to wait to get the customer numbers from PostNord?

(This is only relevant for you if you have a direct contract with PostNord)

Start by visiting the PostNord homepage for your country. Once you have entered all the details for the business account and sent them in, it usually takes two or three business days for PostNord to contact you. When this happens, you will get access to the PostNord customer portal where all useful information is stored.

Request in-store pick-up

Who do I register pick-up with?

Please contact PostNord directly – preferably your sales representative. You need to estimate how many parcels need to be collected per day and give this information to PostNord.

Can I take my parcels to the post office myself?

In general, parcels can also be taken to the post office. The labels can also be scanned there. This is relevant if the regular collection is not sufficient due to a promotion (e.g. Black Friday).

Can you also deliver abroad?

No, not yet.

Request sporadic pick-up

Please note, that this process is only applicable for stores under a Zalando Umbrella Contract.

If the regular pick-up does not work, there are more parcels than usual, or the store has gone live before setting the regular pick-up, you then can take your parcels to the nearest PostNord post office yourself or book a sporadic pick up as follows:

Norway PostNord

  • The store needs to contact PostNord directly to organise an additional pick-up for the extra volume. If booked before 11:00 (Norwegian time) the pick-up happens the same day. Otherwise it will happen the following day.

  • Call PostNord's customer service on + 47 98 70 93 00. State the name of the store, address and number of packages, then please always send all information (date of pickup, quantity of parcels and booking/reference number) to

    cr-operations-logistics@zalando.de.

  • Additional pick-ups do not incur additional costs for the stores.

Sweden PostNord

  • The store needs to contact PostNord directly to organise an additional pick-up for the extra volume. If booked before 14.00h (Swedish time)

    the pick-up happens the same day. Otherwise it will happen the following day.

  • Call 0771-333310, then you need to tell the automatic voice what your needs are to get connected with the right department. First, they ask you if you are calling in as a company or a private person and then they ask what they can help you with.

  • So you say “Company”; “Book pick up”. Or in Swedish “Företag”; “Boka hämtning”.

  • State the name of the store, address and number of packages. Please always ask for the booking/reference number of the pick-up so you can have it as a reference, and then send all information (date of pickup, quantity of parcels & booking/reference number) to

    cr-operations-logistics@zalando.de.

  • Additional pick-ups do not incur additional costs for the stores.

Finland PostNord

  • The drivers can pick up to 50 parcels daily. If you have more than 50 parcels, then you must contact PostNord directly to organise an additional pick-up for the extra volume. If booked generally before 13:00 (Finnish time) the pick-up happens the same day. Otherwise it will happen the following day. Some stores in certain areas can have different cut-off times to have the additional pick-ups on the same day.

  • Send an email to PostNord's customer service on

    vip.fi@postnord.com and add cr-operations-logistics@zalando.de

    in CC. State the name of the store, address and number of packages.

  • Additional pick-ups do not incur additional costs for the stores.  

Denmark PostNord

Important

There is no sporadic pickup service in Denmark.

  • Typically the drivers can take all parcels, but if they don’t accept them, you can bring the extra parcels to the nearest PuP yourself.

  • If you think that you will consistently have more parcels than the regular pickup agreed, then please inform the logistics team at Connected Retail. We will inform PostNord about the new pickup amount. This can take two or three working days.
