Specification and loading of ZFS deliveries

Please find a summary of the main requirements for the different types of deliveries received at Zalando warehouses outlined below.

Depending on the delivery you plan to make, each type of delivery (palletized, loose load or hanging rails) have a set of specifications. The type of loading results from the type and amount of transportation packing.

Palletised delivery: Consolidation cartons / hanging goods in carton wardrobe
Loose load / parcel delivery: Consolidation cartons
Hanging goods delivery: Hanging goods on clothes rails

Loose load / parcel deliveries

Pre-delivery	The delivery needs to be correctly labelled- make sure that the ZFS Shipping Notice ID is clearly visible. (please download the template available)
Loading of a loose load / parcel delivery	- The delivery can only be done by CEP service providers. - If the delivery is done with a non-rampable transport then the unloading must be processed by the driver, which means that the packages need to be handed over by the driver. - The delivery note has to be attached to one of the cartons in a dispatch envelope. For deliveries from the EU, it can as well be located inside a carton, nevertheless this has to be clearly stated on the outside of the respective carton.
Delivery	Delivery time window of +/- 5 days to deliver the goods.
Additional information	- Zalando does not accept CEP tracking as a proof of delivery. - The maximum for a parcel delivery is 10 boxes. - The maximum dimensions of consolidation cartons are 80cm x 60cm x 40cm and the maximum weight for one carton is 20kg. - Transportation packaging of cage products and fragile products must be indicated in the labelling

Loading of a loose load / parcel delivery

- The delivery can only be done by CEP service providers.

- If the delivery is done with a non-rampable transport then the unloading must be processed by the driver, which means that the packages need to be handed over by the driver.

- The delivery note has to be attached to one of the cartons in a dispatch envelope. For deliveries from the EU, it can as well be located inside a carton, nevertheless this has to be clearly stated on the outside of the respective carton.

Delivery

Delivery time window of +/- 5 days to deliver the goods.

Additional information

- Zalando does not accept CEP tracking as a proof of delivery.

- The maximum for a parcel delivery is 10 boxes.

- The maximum dimensions of consolidation cartons are 80cm x 60cm x 40cm and the maximum weight for one carton is 20kg.

- Transportation packaging of cage products and fragile products must be indicated in the labelling

Palletised deliveries

Pre-delivery	- The delivery needs to be correctly labelled- make sure that the ZFS Shipping notice ID is clearly visible (please download the template available) - The time slot needs to be booked no later than at 23.59pm prior to the delivery date - The Mercareon slot booking can be done for the current, and the upcoming week and should be booked as soon as possible. Please note that the closer you get to the booking date, the less flexibility you will have to choose the appropriate/desired time slot. - Hanging goods in cartons should be treated like palletised loading
Loading of a palletised delivery	- The delivery note needs to be attached to the pallet that is located closest to the truck door or can alternatively be handed over by the driver. - The pallet label always needs to be aligned with the door, on the short side of the pallet. - All pallets that belong to one ZFS Shipping Notice ID should be arranged together. - Goods that are to be delivered should not be blocked by other goods from third parties. - Between the goods and the door there has to be a minimum gap of 10 cm (loading sill). - Pallets are not allowed to be stacked above each other. - The boxes are not allowed to be packed over the dimensions of the pallet. - The short side of the pallets (0,80m) needs to face the door at the back of the truck. The reason for this is that all pallets are offloaded from the back of the vehicle. - The vehicles need to be able to be unloaded from a loading ramp. This requires a min. width of 2.00m, min. height of 1.00m from ground, and doors shall be opened by at least 270°. - Per truck one Mercareon time slot booking is required - Pallets have to be wrapped in clear foil so that the boxes do not move or fall off and also for the warehouse to be able to count the amount of boxes that are being delivered. Please note: Black foil is not allowed.
Delivery	The goods must be delivered on the booked time slot
Additional Information	- A pallet must only contain goods from 1 Zalando Shipping Notice ID - Zalando only accepts wooden pallets with the standard Euro-pallet dimensions: length 1200mm x width 800mm x height 144mm - Exchangeable EUR Pallets according to GS-1 / UIC 435-2 recommendation - For wooden pallets from a third country (non-EU / Switzerland), the partner has to ensure the IPPC Standards No. 15 (ISPM 15) for the prescribed treatment of wood - The unloading from the side is impossible. - The max height is 215cm (including the pallet) - A delivery in a van cannot take place in Mönchengladbach - On the same pallet can only be loaded articles of the same Zalando shipping Notice ID / Specialty: cage products and fragile products - Make sure that the actual quantities of pallets/ boxes are updated in the Mercareon booking - For hanging cartons (flat packed cartons): the dimensions of hanging cartons should not exceed 60cm x 52cm x 140cm and the hanging carton cannot weigh more than 20kg - A hanging carton should always be completely filled up. It should be avoided to put only single hanging goods into a hanging carton

Hanging goods (on clothes rails) deliveries

Pre-delivery	- The delivery needs to be correctly labelled- make sure that the ZFS Shipping notice ID is clearly visible (please download the template available) - The time slot needs to be booked no later than at 23.59pm prior to the delivery date. - The slot should be booked as soon as possible, as if you book a time slot too late then the availability of the time slots is less.
Loading of a hanging goods delivery on rails	- The delivery note needs to be handed over by the driver or placed on or next to one of the cutting discs. - The placement of the goods for one ZFS Shipping Notice ID must be done with a cutting disc. - The articles need to be packed in hanging cartons. - Per group there need to be two cut-off wheels; one before the first article of a delivery and one behind the last article. - The loading needs to be done from left to right and from the bottom to the top.
Delivery	The goods must be delivered on the booked time slot.

- The articles need to be packed in hanging cartons.

- Per group there need to be two cut-off wheels; one before the first article of a delivery and one behind the last article.

- The loading needs to be done from left to right and from the bottom to the top.

Delivery

The goods must be delivered on the booked time slot.
