High-quality images and accurate attributes help showcase your articles effectively while ensuring full regulatory compliance on Zalando.

When submitting toy articles, you must comply with both attribute requirements and legal safety standards.

• Material information: State the main material (percentage is optional). Follow Ethical Sourcing Standards (ESS). Forbidden materials include mohair, exotic wood and parts of endangered animals.

• Measurements: At least one main measurement (height, width or circumference) is mandatory.

• Warnings (free text): Begin warnings with 'Achtung' (German) or 'Warning' (English). Enter 'No warnings' if none apply. State age suitability and required user weight limits.

• Musical toys (without batteries): Enter 'Note: used without batteries' in the special description attribute and include the song or melody name.

All articles must comply with the Safety of Toys Directive 2009/48/EC to ensure safe, reliable and properly labelled products. Learn more about toy product safety.

A toy is any article designed or intended for play by children under 14 years of age. Review permitted product scopes in our assortment guide.

• Required images: Submit at least one compliant primary packshot for the catalogue view. Duplicate images will lead to article rejection.

• Sets and multipacks: Display all items belonging to a set together in the primary packshot.

When photographing toys, you must adhere to strict visual compliance standards to ensure legal requirements are met: 

• CE labelling: Display the CE label clearly on the product, tag or packaging in at least one image.

• Electronic toys: Include an image displaying the crossed-out bin symbol.

• Functionality: Use additional views to show movement or interactive features.

• Age relevance: Match model ages to the target age group of the toy.

• Natural interaction: Show children using products naturally.

• Safe usage: Display safe play environments and appropriate supervision.
