Good to know

Starting 20 October 2025, you can upload videos to your product detail pages (PDPs) to enhance your listings. This feature is only available for partners using the Merchant Product Submission API or Article XML Feeds.

Product detail page (PDP) videos are a great way to showcase your articles and help customers make a purchase. By following these guidelines, you'll ensure your videos meet our quality standards and provide a great experience for our customers.

PDP video guidelines: What you need to know

We have three main requirements for your videos: visual, ethical, and technical.

Visual requirements

The PDP video format is designed for a neutral, distraction-free product display, ensuring a clean and compliant presentation.

Here's what you need to know

  • Background and lighting: The background must be plain, with recommended colours being white, grey, or beige. Lighting must be neutral; please avoid any non-neutral or coloured lighting.

What to avoid

  • Text and sound: Written text and sound are not permitted.

Important

Videos featuring kids are not permitted.

  • Don't use sheer textiles, lingerie, or swimwear that would show the nipples or genitals of the model.

  • Avoid coloured backgrounds (including floors) and props.

Ethical guidelines

Please note that the guidance provided here is to support displaying and purchasing products and brands to sell on Zalando. While we recognise that style and clothing (i.e. our articles) can change its meaning over time - particularly with changing social movements and global context - Zalando will continue to prohibit the sale of any product or brand which has any association with any of the below outlined dimensions.

A product video may not contain, represent, condone, or promote offensive, illegal, or otherwise inappropriate products and content. This includes, but isn't limited to:

  • Glorification of violence and use of weapons

  • Defamation of religion
