This article will help our Zalando Return Solutions (ZRS) Pure partners in Spain better understand the labels on the returned boxes you receive from ZRS Pure.

Description of the ZRS labels

ZRS partners receive all of your articles returned by customers consolidated and shipped back to you on a weekly basis in Zalando branded boxes. There are two labels on every box:

A. The picking label

B. The shipping label

A. The picking label

The picking label is used during the picking process in the Zalando Return Center and it contains the following information:

  1. Partner name: This is your partner name i.e. the name the customer has purchased from on the Zalando platform.

  2. Internal Zalando barcode: This barcode is only used internally at Zalando during the processing of the article. You don’t need to use it.

  3. Zalando Parcel ID (also called SSCC: Serial Shipping Container Code): this is the unique box identifier number which is assigned to each and every box. You will also find this code in your ZRS Pure Returned Items Report (updated weekly, on Mondays).

B. The shipping label

The shipping label is produced when the parcel is ready to be shipped out from the Zalando Return Center to your return address. Depending on the country on where your return address is located, the layout of the shipping label will differ:

In case your return destination is in Spain, it will look like this:

In case your return destination is NOT Spain, it will look like this:

Regardless of the destination, both labels include the following information:

  1. Address of the sender: This is the address where the parcel is shipped from i.e the Zalando Return Center

  2. Address of the recipient: This is your return address, as specified in your zDirect Account setup. Please ensure that your return address in Spain is up-to-date and accurate to avoid misrouting parcels.

  3. Parcel tracking ID (Pedido/REF): This is the reference number you can use to track your parcel.

  4. Weight (Peso): This is the weight of the parcel.

How to track the location of the parcel prior to its arrival at your site

If you want to check the location of the parcel prior to its arrival at your site, this information is also available in your ZRS Pure Returned Items Report. Simply copy the Parcel Tracking ID reference and search for it.

How to update your return address in your zDirect Business Profile

As mentioned above, it is really important that your return address for the Spanish market is always up-to-date and accurate. This is the information that we use to automatically return your articles back to you.
