What is my Business Profile?

The Business Profile on zDirect gives you an overview of your company profile so you can see the markets where you sell, and your fulfilment options - getting orders to customers - for each, as well as account information.

The Business Profile gives you an opportunity to self-manage some of your company and country related details. Please note that you are only able to edit your country related details for fulfilment types that are already online.

How do I access mine?

You can access your business profile by clicking the Account Settings icon at the top right corner of the navigation toolbar. For security purposes, only those with the role of Administrator can make changes to your profile.

Your dashboard

When you go to your profile, your dashboard will give you an holistic overview of the countries you are selling in - Active markets - or those that you are onboarding so you can go live in. 

You’ll see two tabs:

  1. Active markets - displaying the countries that you are selling (or “live”) in.

  2. Onboarding markets - those that you are expanding into.

You’ll also see your current status for each country and the type of fulfilment you’ve opted for, whether it’s your own - Partner fulfilment - or Zalando Fulfillment Solutions (ZFS). You’ll also see account information and any actions you might need to take.

I’ve multiple brands - how many profiles will I use?

You’ll have a unique Business Profile for each one. View the Shop Selector in the top right corner to see a list of these.

Who can access my profile?

Anyone with access to your account will be able to view your profile but this will depend on their role. You can see the types of access below:

Administrator - full access

  • Can manage company, contact and bank account information

  • Can update returns data

  • Can request approval by Zalando of any changes made

Manager / Supervisor - limited access

  • Can view basic information about active markets and those being onboarded

  • Can get an account status overview

How can I change my company and country information?

Only administrators can view or change your details by going to the Account Overview section and clicking on Manage Details.

When you click on the Manage details button you’ll be able to modify your Company profile information:

  • Business details

    • Contact details

    • Bank details

    • Billing details

    • Shop details

  • Compliance detail

Important

Please inform us as early as possible of any changes to Fixed establishment or Outbound warehouse information, where applicable. Having out-of-date details can result in incorrect payment of taxes.

If data is provided by the 15th of the month, the changes become live from the 1st of the next month. If provided after the 15th, new data becomes live from the 1st of the month after next.

For example, changes made on 5 January, once approved, will be applicable from 1 February. Changes made on 20 January, once approved, will be applicable from 1 March.

Any changes you make will apply to all merchants under this legal entity. 

You’ll also be able to modify your Country Profile information related to fulfilment types that are online:

  • Business details

    • Contact details

    • Bank details

    • Billing details

  • Compliance details (if applicable to you)

There is one limitation: If you are onboarding a different fulfilment type for the first time (for instance adding ZFS for the first time to partner fulfilment), you won’t be able to view or modify the entire Country Profile section for all countries, until your recently added fulfilment type is configured and put online by the Zalando team. If you urgently need to modify your Country Profile during that time, please contact Partner Care.

Once both fulfilment types are online, you’ll be able to modify your Country Profile information for both countries.

What is the Account Overview section?

This displays your account details. There are two types of view:

  1. Account Status: This shows if your account is active on Zalando, offline or deactivated.

  2. Account Details: This displays the approval status of any information forming your profile.

Account details shows the approval status of any information forming your profile. You will see any or all of the following:

  • APPROVED: Your information has been checked and agreed

  • NOT SUBMITTED: You have changed information but not yet sent it to us for review

  • UNDER REVIEW: Your changes are being reviewed by us

  • REJECTED: Your changes have been rejected - to learn more, go to the Manage Details section and click on Zalando Approval

What is the Compensation Rate overview?

When you click on the View Compensation Rates button, you’ll be able to see the compensation rate Zalando is deducting according to your sales depending on the category and price range. This is reflected in the Partner Program contract you made with Zalando. For more information on compensation rates, please visit this article for brands or this article for retailers.

What happens if I need to change some of my Company profile information?

If you make an update to any of the following, you will need to send them to us for approval.

  • Business details

    • Contact details

      • Main company contact

      • Monthly invoices contact

    • Bank details

    • Billing details

    • Shop details

    • Compliance details

When you’ve made your edits, go to the Zalando Approval section and click Send for review:

During the approval process, your ability to sell on Zalando and your order fulfilment will not be affected.

Once approved by our internal teams, you’ll receive an email notification and the changes will be applied.
