Attributes: Updating attributes of existing articles
Sometimes certain attributes that are displayed to our customers in the PDP need to be updated after the article is live. Please follow the steps outlined in this article to do so.
Initial onboarding boost
During the initial onboarding of your articles, we encourage you to share the most detailed attribute information for a swift start. Accurate and high-quality article information is key to ensuring a positive customer experience and shaping your assortment presentation.
However, we understand that sometimes certain attributes that are displayed to our customers in the Product Detail Page (PDP) need to be updated after the article is live.
Attribute update process
Depending on which attributes you want to update please take the following actions.
Important note
If you have more than one article to be updated, please compile them as one request in the respective request template.
Updating existing articles with general attribute data
Download the Attribute Update template, from "Downloads".
Follow the instructions in the downloaded template.
You can request updates for the following attribute categories:
Article name (guidelines available here)
Material composition (further information can be found here)
Product care instructions
Colour name
Measurements
Assortment type (i.e. maternity, plus size, etc.)
Pattern (i.e. paisley, houndstooth, etc.)
Detail (i.e. fastening, collar, neckline, etc.)
Age and gender
After filling out the required information, please send your request to Partner Care here for processing.
Updating existing articles with sustainability-related product attribute data
Download the Sustainability Attribute template from "Downloads".
To complete and send the template back to us, please follow the steps outlined in this ZPU article.
For article update request types listed below, please submit a request directly to Partner Care:
Flag 1 (shared Zalando Wholesale and Partner) SKUs.
Article onboarding issues (i.e. rejected or blocked status codes such as PSERR, ACSREJ, JETBL, and ZABLO).
SKU merge requests (i.e. the same article has two different SKUs).
