This guide outlines the mandatory attribute and image requirements for onboarding electronics. Following these guidelines ensures a successful submission, maintains quality and provides customers with the essential product and safety information they need to make a purchase.
Attribute requirements for Electronics
All electronic articles require specific product attributes alongside their images. This includes mandatory information like safety details, material specifications and article warnings.

Cable length
An image showing the CE-Label alongside the product must be provided for all toys and electronic devices. Ensure both the label and the item are clearly visible and easily identifiable in a single image

Please include the following features depending what kind of article or device you wish to onboard (e.g. speaker box, headphones, etc.):
Power source, USB or Bluetooth
Connection (e.g. 3.5mm connection)
Cable, wireless or length of cables (e.g.wireless bluetooth streaming)
Service life (e.g.long service life due to rechargeable battery)
Suitable for (e.g. tablets, notebooks, smartphones)
Battery life (e.g. up to 20 hours of battery life)
Filling volume (e.g. mixer)
Waterproof according to protection class XY
JBL Connect+
Main material (e.g. wood, plastic, etc.)
The information must be sufficient for the customer to make an informed purchase decision.
Product descriptions

Descriptions must comply with Zalando's Ethical standards. Remain neutral and free of marketing language.
Write descriptions in English or German without typos, limited to 400 characters.
List features using a pipe '|' at the start of each feature: e.g. | AA batteries are included | compatible with iOS.
Product labelling and instructions

Every electronic article needs a CE label clearly visible either on the electronic device, on an affixed label or on the packaging.
Every electronic article must also have the bin symbol in addition to the CE label.
Provide labelling that includes the manufacturer’s details and a product identification number.
Include warnings and instructions regarding:
Montage
Installation
Activity
Storage
Upkeep
Repair
Necessary personal protective gear/equipment
Ensure instructions are available in all necessary languages for the countries where the product is sold.

Photographing Electronics
Using packshot images allows a detailed look at the function and style of the item. Using more than the required images for each article allows the customer to appreciate every angle and enhances storytelling.
Visibility and features: Display the electronic device and all included accessories clearly. Ensure any extended features are fully visible.
Cables: Images featuring faded-out or cut cables are only permitted as additional views. (Exception: Beauty electronics can feature cut cables in compliant views).
Model views (optional): If you choose to use models, demonstrate the item in action rather than presenting it statically to clearly show its function and scale.
