How the ZRS Plus return process works

ZRS Plus combines the best of both ZRS Pure and ZFS through streamlined customer experience and partner convenience. This means that for partners who use ZRS Plus, customer returns and subsequent fulfilment is handled by Zalando Fulfilment Solutions (ZFS). The process works like this:

  1. The customer uses one single box and return label for all articles they wish to return. 

  2. All returned articles are sent to one of Zalando’s return centres, where articles are received, inspected and repackaged. 

  3. We consolidate the received returns and send them to a ZFS warehouse for re-stocking. 

  4. These articles are then used to fulfil the next customer order, dispatched from our ZFS warehouse.

How can I access the stock levels currently in the ZFS warehouses?

The Fulfillment Reports on zDirect are designed to give you easy access to your stock snapshot and stock movement data. They can help you track the inbound and outbound movement of your inventory in the Zalando fulfilment network. What does the information contained in the stock report mean?

For ZRS Plus partners, their articles become ZFS stock. ZFS Stock has two statuses: offerable and non-offerable. What does it mean? And what’s the difference with available quantities? How do I return items from the ZFS warehouse back to my own warehouse?

To return A-Goods to you, capacity needs to be reserved in Zalando’s warehouses. You will need to update your forecast accordingly on a regular basis. This forecast with your requested Return to Merchant (RtM) volume, can be found under the Fulfillment tab in zDirect with your requested Return to Merchant (RtM) volumes.
