Home assortment onboarding guidelines

Complete product data helps you showcase your articles effectively and drives a better customer experience. This guide explains how to onboard articles successfully for home textile, kitchen, dining, home electronics, furniture, deco and stationery assortments.

To ensure a smooth validation process for your home assortment, verify that all relevant home outlines are available in your zDirect master data filter options and ensure you have created home-specific size charts. If you encounter PSERR_101 (Article outline not allowed) or PSERR_110 (Invalid size grid), this indicates that your submitted data does not match your registered master data.

You must submit at least two images per article for the home assortment.

• Image type: JPG or JPEG

• Aspect ratio: 1:1.44 in upright format

• Minimum size: 762 x 1100 pixels

• Best practice size: 1800 x 2600 pixels

• Designer minimum size: 1800 x 2600 pixels

• Colour mode: sRGB

• Grey/beige background for model views: Recommended colour code is R241 G241 B241. This must be within the accepted colour range.

• White background for packshots: Mandatory colour code is R255 G255 B255. We will add a light grey background to packshots to ensure a consistent shop structure.

To approve your article, we require one primary packshot (catalogue view) and one further mandatory view.

• A primary packshot is mandatory for the home assortment.

• It must feature a pure white background

• The article must be fully visible, centred vertically and positioned in the lower third

• You can show items folded, stacked or assembled

• You cannot arrange the article with other items in the primary packshot

• You only need one further mandatory view

• This can be a lifestyle view, detail view, back view or packaging image. It can also be a further packshot with a grey background

• You can display the article folded or stacked, or showcase a reversible surface

• You can use graphic images to show features, provided they only contain measurements and English text

• We do not allow duplicate images

You can submit additional views only in addition to the two mandatory images. Submitting additional views without a primary packshot and further mandatory view leads to rejection. Additional views include:

• Detail shots

• Model views with white backgrounds

• Further packshots showing the article arranged with other items

• Packaging or graphic illustrations showing features (using English text or measurements)

• Further packshots showing the front and back in one image

Curtains, shower curtains, bed linen, tablecloths and table runners have specific catalogue view requirements. You must provide one of the following image types, listed in order of priority:

1. Primary packshot: Follows standard home textile requirements.

2. Lifestyle view: Must show the article almost completely. Additional items in the front can crop the article.

3. Specialised detail view: Must inform the customer about the article category. Images showing only texture are not accepted as catalogue views.

If you do not provide one of these three options, your article will be rejected with the error code ACSREJ_102.

Resolving error code ACSREJ_102: If your article is rejected with this code, your mandatory primary view or further view is missing or invalid.

• For general home items and other outlines: Your primary packshot or further view is missing.

• For curtains, shower curtains, bed linen, tablecloths and table runners: You have not uploaded any of the three acceptable catalogue views.

To resolve this, ensure you provide at least one valid catalogue view for your product category.

To ensure a smooth validation process, your images must not include:

• Non-English text, promotional overlays or logos.

• Black and white imagery.

• Images that misrepresent the actual article.

• Poor quality images caused by bad editing, bad photography or low-quality AI generation.

• Duplicate images.

• Child models in underwear/beachwear or any nudity.

• Any sexualized images.

• Images or products that violate animal welfare are not permitted.

You must provide complete fabric and regulatory information when onboarding.

You can provide material information in the designated attribute or via free text fields. Any contradiction between these fields results in rejection under code ACSREJ_151. You only need to provide the main material. Specifications for linings or fillings are optional.

• Textile home articles: Specify the exact percentage of the outer fabric material.

• Kitchen, dining, electronics, furniture, deco and stationery: Material specification is required, but exact percentages are not needed.

• Material restrictions: If a material contains more than 15% of 'other fibres', you must provide a detailed breakdown. Real fur and materials violating our animal welfare policies are strictly forbidden.

To onboard candle articles successfully, provide the following information:

• Outline: Candles are categorised under the outline fragrances (Beauty assortment).

• Safety warnings: Safety instructions or warning notes must be provided in free text fields (e.g. Description / Special Description) or in designated attributes. Provide exact warning texts (e.g. "Keep away from children", "Never leave a burning candle unattended" or "Flammable").

• Articles without safety notes: If a candle does not require safety instructions, explicitly state "no warning".

If safety warnings or the statement "no warning" are missing, the article will be rejected with error code ACSREJ_260.

This is mandatory for the kitchen and dining outlines. You must select "Yes" for articles that touch food, or "No" for articles that do not.

Provide images where the CE label and article are clearly visible together. You can include the label in a detail view packshot or upload a temporary image. This is mandatory for:

• Oven gloves (including sets and multipacks).

• Articles with a playable feature.

• Articles with batteries or electronic components.

• Articles ensuring UV/UPF protection.

• Electric or LED candles.

You must use these two attributes when you’re onboarding articles from your assortment that contain batteries or electronic parts.

The new attributes are:

• Contains batteries (yes/no)

• Electronic components (yes/no) 

We also recommend that you update the special description for all articles containing batteries (both existing and new), using the description field to clearly state if a battery is included (e.g. if an article uses a battery but is not sold with one). 

• Animal protection: Products including real fur or violating our animal welfare policy are forbidden.

• Offensive content: Designs must comply with our brand guidelines. Offensive prints or tattoos are not allowed.
