Create a Collection step by step
Log into your Brand Homes CMS account, then click on the Collections tab at the upper-left corner of your screen.
Click New collection at the upper-right of your screen.
A pop-up window will open, notifying you about the content review process. Click Start.
Depending on the context of your Collection, choose between one of the three outlined Collection types.
Click Next.
Enter a Title for your Collection (only visible to you), select the Target group(s) (Men/Women/Kids) as well as the Target markets.
Click Next.
Click the Add articles button.
Paste the list of Zalando Config. SKU codes that you want to feature in your Collection.
SKUs that don’t exist in our system (i.e. unknown, invalid codes, Supplier SKUs) will be highlighted in red and won’t be added to the Collection.
Double-check whether you can fix the highlighted SKUs, if not, remove the SKUs.
Once you have added at least 5 valid SKUs, you can click Add articles.
You are able to preview the status of your articles in each target market. See Article status definitions at the bottom of this page.
On the left side, you can see the breakdown by market. If a market is highlighted in red, it means that there are currently less than 5 available SKUs in that country, and if published, your Collection will not actually go live in that market until the minimum threshold is met.
If you now want to add additional articles within this step, click on All markets in the upper-left, then the Add articles button.
Click Next.
At the top, choose the type of Collection you want to create, Image or Video.
Upload the assets in the required sizes and choose one of the suggested colours for your Collection teaser background.
The colour options are pre-defined by Zalando, and it’s not possible to add other additional colours manually.
Choose between using one of our pre-approved copies and skipping the review process or creating your own from scratch. Download the document on the left side of this article.
After you have added the copy, click Next.
If your Collection consists of more then 8 articles and you want to enrich your Collection landing page with a customised section, click Add Main Stage at the lower-left of your screen. If you decide not to, click Next.
For more details on how you can add Main Stage sections to your Collection, see Adding Main Stage sections below.
In the last step, you can preview your Collection teaser, including the carousel.
To change the order of articles in the carousel, move the most important available SKUs to the beginning of the list and click Update articles.
If everything looks as intended, you can proceed to Request review. Wait for us to approve the submitted Collection.
Once approved, log back into the Brand Homes CMS and open the Collections tab.
Below the Action required, click the Publish button.
Add a Main Stage to your Collection
Enter Main Stage title (only be visible to you in the tool).
Insert at least one of the optional assets, such as an image, a title and subtitle, or a description for each target market.
After you have uploaded the assets, select at least 3 articles from the Collection that you want to highlight within the landing page.
Click Save.
Repeat Steps 1-4 if you want to add more Main Stage sections.
Once done, click Next.
Edit a Main Stage section
Click the Main Stage title at the left, then Edit at the right of your screen.
In the pop-up window, you can make edits to your content.
Once you have finished making the edits, click Save, then Next.
Important
Make sure not to reuse the same assets (e.g., image or copy) that you already used for the Collection header.
Delete a Main Stage section
Click the Main Stage title at the left.
Click Delete at the right-bottom side of your screen.
Request a content review
Open the Brand Home page from the Brand Home tab.
Click on the Request review button in the upper-right corner.
If you cannot click the Request review button, there's a chance that you haven't added all the assets required for a Brand Homes header. Learn how to resolve this and other potential issues here.
Publish your Collection
After we have approved your Collection (or after you have auto-approved minor Collection updates), open the Collections tab in the Brand Homes CMS.
In the Action required section, click the Publish button next to the Collection title.
Edit a Collection
Log in to your Brand Homes CMS. Open the Collections tab.
From the Collections overview, click on the Collection you want to edit.
After you have finished making edits, click Request review.
Once approved or auto-approved, you can publish the new version of the Collection by clicking the Publish button, visible in the Collections tab.
Depending on the changes you make to a Collection that has already been approved, the following review process will apply:

Change the Collection type (Showcase/Trend/Assortment)
Change the background header colour
Add or remove target markets

Change the internal Collection / Main Stage names
Any combination of the above
Standard review still required (taking up to 5 business days) if you:
Edit copy text
Add target markets
Any combination of the above, or mixed with edits listed in the previous section.
What happens when you edit a Collection that’s already online?
While you are making changes to a published Collection. The previous version will remain online until you publish a newer version of that Collection. Any Collections which can be published will appear in the Action required section in the CMS overview.
Unpublish or delete a Collection
Having new, up-to-date collections not only keeps you relevant to customers. This also means cleaning up and unpublishing specific seasonal or event-focused Collections like Holidays, Valentine's Day, International Women's Day, Mother’s Day, and so on, once the event has passed.
Click on the down arrow next to the Collection status.
Click Unpublish.
Alternatively, you can also permanently delete it from the Overview page by clicking on the down arrow > Delete.
