Phasing out Zalando Shipping Solutions

At ZEOS, we’re streamlining our service portfolio to keep our logistics network efficient and scalable. As part of this, we will phase out Zalando Shipping Solutions (ZSS) by the end of 2026. 

This article outlines key transition dates and alternative fulfilment solutions for those, who have an active ZSS contract. If you are a ZEOS partner receiving a contract termination notice for the inactive ZSS clause in the B2B Framework Agreement but do not use ZSS, no further action is required on your end.

Here’s your operational timeline for the phase-out:

• September 2026: We will start the formal contract and service termination process.

• 9 December 2026: Label creation for ZSS closes. Zalando Return Solutions (ZRS) will continue without interruption.

• 10 to 23 December 2026: Final window to inject ZSS shipments at your designated hub.

• 1 January 2027: Operations fully wind down. Any shipments reaching injection hubs will return to sender.

Your day-to-day operations can continue as normal until December 2026, including Cyber Week. 

Consider these alternative solutions to keep your logistics running smoothly:

• Zalando Fulfilment Solutions (ZFS): Our end-to-end fulfilment service. Save around 25% on average through parcel sharing, stock distribution across 14 centres and faster returns. You also unlock up to 4% lower marketplace fees through the Zalando Convenience Incentive and gain access to Zalando Plus members. Setup takes 30 days under one contract.

• Independent fulfilment using exporto: exporto is our recommended 3PL. You get end-to-end customer delivery with one integration and contract. You maintain responsibility for Customer Experience Model (CXM) KPIs, including Delivery on Target (DoT). Note that ZEOS receives commercial consideration for migrations, but you can choose any logistics provider.

• Independent fulfilment with Zalando Return Solutions (ZRS): If ZRS is in your service agreement, it stays active unless you opt out. ZRS cuts return costs by up to 25% and protects your CXM metrics with Reimbursement on Target (RoT). Please note that if you handle your own fulfilment, DoT remains your responsibility.
