Brand Home

Each Brand Home starts with a header section. This is the perfect place to introduce your brand and navigate customers to your article selection.
Your Brand Home header consists of the following elements:
Brief copy that conveys the personality of your brand
Header image
Follow button
Navigation menu with category links
Image specifications

To make sure your Brand Home header looks great on desktop, mobile and app, you need to submit two images each in different ratios. Find further guidelines, examples and best practices about images in this article.

2229 x 2145 px for mobile and app

All text must be translated into the markets language and submitted following these requirements:

Collections


Image or video Collections are a powerful tool that lets you connect various articles with your creative assets. Excite and engage customers by using collections to showcase your key products, stories, capsules, hot drops, brand and influencer collaborations and more.
Additionally, you can further showcase selected articles by adding a Main Stage within your Collection. Customers will discover Collection teasers in your Brand Home while browsing the Zalando Homepage.
Good to know
When you publish your Collection for the first time, your brand followers will be notified through an email and app push notification, containing a link to your Collection landing page, inviting them to explore and shop.
Image Collections

Customers can discover Collection teasers in two places, your Brand Home and while browsing on Zalando. Optionally, you can also add Main Stage sections to the landing page of your Collection to provide more context and increase the chances of higher conversions. The availability of Main Stage sections will depend on the size of your Collection.
Your image Collection consists of the following elements:

Main Stage

You can add this section within your Collection landing page to showcase your articles even further. Drive more traffic to your product detail pages (PDPs) by creating a Main Stage with copy and images by showing a selection of your articles, peaking customers interest.
To create a Main Stage you need to showcase a minimum of 3 Zalando SKUs and add at least one of these listed assets relevant to your article selection:
Image 3648 x 1749 px
Localised title and subtitle, max. 22 and 42 characters respectively
Localised description of max. 300 characters providing background on the highlighted articles
Asset specifications
Use a single element like an image, title and subtitle or description to mix and match them as you like. Adding an image to your Main Stage is optional, if you do decide to add one, adhere to the following specifications:
Resolution: 3648 x 1749 px
File type: JPG
File size: max. 2MB
Copy specifications
Adding a title and subtitle or long description to your Main Stage is optional. Should you decide to add a copy, adhere to the following specifications:
Title: max. 22 characters
Subtitle: max. 42 characters
Long description: max. 300 characters
Article specifications
Mandatory: Minimum of 3 articles from your Collection have to be selected for your Main Stage.
You'll need a minimum of 8 Zalando SKUs in your article list to create a Main Stage.
Depending on the size of your Collection, you can feature up to 4 Main Stages on your landing page.
Brand Stories

Brand Stories are vertical videos with a 9:16 format that are ideal for showcasing your brand's history, values, and stories related to your products and collections. Brand Stories will appear within the Brand Home and are an effective way to increase brand awareness and engage with your audience on Zalando.

Inspire your audience with your story, motivate them to shop by adding articles that are displayed when customers click on the Learn more button in your Brand Story.

Take your Brand Home to the next level and get inspired by these helpful tips and examples of favourite Brand Homes.
Assortment selection and placement
Make your selection based on functionality, category or objective. Attach articles where it makes most sense.

Category links

To optimise your category links, consider narrowing them down to 7 or less and organising them in a way that reflects your best-selling categories and seasonal demand.
Good to know
Include New arrivals or New in as one of your category links, as it's typically the most clicked link.
Share fresh content
To ensure that your content remains relevant and engaging for your audience, it's important to keep it seasonally up-to-date.

Brand consistency
Create a seamless flow throughout your Brand Home. Maintain a consistent color theme and branding across all elements of the page. This will establish a strong brand identity and deliver a cohesive user experience that helps visitors connect with your brand.

Reinforce brand identity by making sure to include your brand logo when creating assets like images, videos and copy.
Visuals that support your message
Capture attention and convey your brand's unique voice and message. Keep your audiences point of view in mind, make sure copy and visual communicate your idea clearly.

Choose a header image or video that aligns with the overall message you are communicating. Use engaging and informative, localised language in your copy to describe the theme of your Collection.

Strong video and thumbnail
Make sure people will understand immediately what your video is about by choosing a strong thumbnail, optimally including your logo.
Start strong in your videos and lead with a clear hook within the first few seconds to capture people’s attention. Keep your audience engaged throughout the entire video.
A video runtime of around 6-20 seconds is the sweet spot.
