How to create your Brand Story step by step
Log into your Brand Homes CMS. Open the Brand Stories tab at the upper-left corner of your screen.
Click Create new Brand Story at the upper-right of your screen.
Enter a Title for your Brand Story, this title is only visible to you. Then continue by selecting Target groups (Men/Women/Kids) as well as the Target markets.
Click Next to move to the next step.
Upload Primary assets in the required formats.
While the video is still being uploaded, continue by adding the localised Copy by selecting the Markets on the left side of your screen.
Preview your teaser by scrolling to the bottom of the page.
Due to legal restrictions, you MUST upload an additional video with French audio or subtitles if you want to target your Story to France.
If you want, you can also use localised videos for any of the remaining selected target markets.
To add a localised video: Click on the Market on the left. Then click Add localised video, and Upload.
After you have added the required assets, click Next.
If you want, you can attach articles to your Brand Story by clicking Attach articles. Otherwise, leave no attachment selected and click Next.
In the last step, you can preview your Brand Story in full view, including the attached articles.
If everything looks as intended, you can proceed to Request review. Wait for approval.
Once approved, log back in to the Brand Homes CMS, open the Brand Stories tab and click Publish next to the Brand Story title.
Add articles to your Brand Story
Click Add articles in the lower-left corner.
Paste the list of Zalando Config. SKU codes that you want to feature in your Brand Story.
SKUs that don’t exist in our system (i.e. unknown, invalid codes, Supplier SKUs) will be highlighted in red and won’t be added to the Brand Story.
Double-check whether you can fix the highlighted SKUs, and if not, remove the SKUs.
Once you have added at least 5 valid SKUs, you can click Add articles.
On the left side, you can see the breakdown by market. If a market is highlighted in red, it means that there are currently fewer than 5 available SKUs in that country and if published, your Brand Story will not actually go live in that market until the minimum threshold is met.
The Brand Story will automatically go online when the minimum SKU threshold is reached and vice versa.
You can check the latest status of your published Brand Stories in Publish Settings.
If you now want to add additional articles within this step, click on All markets in the upper-left, then the Add articles button.
Once done, click Next.
Good to know
Even if your Zalando SKUs are currently out of stock or missing, you can still proceed to request review for the Brand Story e.g. ahead of a product launch date.
